Daniel.

23, currently holding a BSc in Pharmacology from UoB and doing my PhD at Peninsula Medical School, interested in the treatment of skin cancer. Very much taken.

I love to read, I also enjoy playing games and keeping up with science-y things. Massive geek it would seem.

Bad Science

I’d highly recommend Ben Goldacre’s “Bad Science” to anyone who already has a skeptical view on homeopathy, alternative medicine, vitamins, big pharma trials and the crucial role that journalists and the media play (and oft royally screw up).

I’d also recommend this book to those who believe they’re getting a good deal with homeopathy/vitamins etc, as Ben’s extremely in depth reviews of the evidence should convince a large majority of people that the organisations selling these products are worse than the pharmaceutical companies when it comes to sale of products that don’t work and brushing negative evidence under the rug.
